Sibson’s newest Spotlight discusses target benefit plans, a new pension plan design that is generating considerable interest throughout Canada although so far only New Brunswick has a law and implementing regulations in place that permit employers to offer the design. New Brunswick’s approach to target benefit plans presents a workable model for other jurisdictions to emulate.
John DeMairo, President and CEO of Segal Rogerscasey, the SEC-registered investment consulting subsidiary of The Segal Group, Inc., has announced that it has acquired the business of Rogerscasey, a global investment solutions firm that has served institutional asset owners and others for more than 40 years. The combined entity has more than 325 clients with worldwide advisory assets approaching $400 billion. With more than 120 staff members, Segal Rogerscasey is privately held with headquarters in New York and offices in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Darien, Houston, Los Angeles, Toronto and Ireland. Rogerscasey Canada is also part of the transaction.
